District Kula Mission

• To create opportunities for Certified Anusara teachers, Anusara-Inspired teachers, and Anusara-lovin’ practitioners to come together
• To strengthen and uplift the community of Anusara Yoga in and around DC
• To encourage development and growth in new, emerging, and established teachers through study, collaboration, and practice
• To empower teachers and, in turn, their students to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

District Kula is run by Katie Myer, an Anusara-Inspired™ teacher living and teaching in Washington, DC. She is grateful for the vision and contribution of her original co-founder, Katie Stephens, and appreciates her contributions in creating District Kula.

Katie M. is constantly in awe of the local teachers empowering students each day and is honored by this opportunity to work with them. She is thankful for the warm response from the community that has embraced District Kula, as we come together to inspire people, to create more beauty, and to change lives in Washington, DC.
